  • How far in advance do I need to book services?
    For all visits and stays, we ask that you let us know as far in advance as you can to secure the dates and times you need. Holidays fill up fast, so especially during those months it is better to book in advance. You are welcome to make last minute requests, but availabilty is not guaranteed.
  • How many updates can I expect from my pet sitter?
    Every walk and visit will include an update, which typically includes a photo along with a description about how the visit went. That way you can stay in the loop with your pets and know how they are doing. With in-home pet sitting, and boarding you will get an update everyday from your sitter with a photo and description letting you know how they are doing.
  • Can I have the same pet sitter every time?
    Lifting K9's works as a team on bookings. So you will always either get Keandra or Joseph as your sitter, or sometimes we both will do the booking. Unless your dog (aggression or nervous around males or females) or if you have a perference on who the sitter is we will accommodate to that.
  • Can I book/change appointments directly with my sitter?
    All bookings (inlcuding new bookings, changes, or cancellation requests) can be completed through email or text.
  • What happens to walks/visits in inclement weather?
    Rain or shine, sleet, or snow, we will be there for your pets. Once we arrive to your home, we will take the weather into consideration. We will not walk if it is hailing, or in the exterme cold. Also we will take into consideration how your dog feels about the rain or snow. If we are scheduled for a walk and the weather is not well sutied for walking, we will go outside for as long as possible and encourage your pets to "go potty". Then we will utilize indoor enrichment activities like snuffle mats and puzzle toys for the remainder of the time.
  • What if there is an emergencey and my pet requires medical attention?
    If a pet is sick or injured, you will be contacted immediately. If you are unavailable, we will call your emergency contacts. We ask that you leave a letter giving us permisson to bring your pet to the vet in case of emergencys, and a list of vets you perfer. In the event your perfered vet is unavailable, the pet will then be taken to the closet emergency care animal clinic.
  • Do you charge extra for holidays?
    Lifting K9's does not charge extra for holidays. We love spending the holidays with your furry family.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    Our cancellation policy allows us to serve you in the most efficient & effective manner possible. Spaces are limited and we begin turning down other requests for the same time and date of your booking, which is why we have our cancellation policy. Cancellation Policy: 2 weeks or more: No payment due 7 days or less: 50% payment due Day of or Day before: Full payment due
  • What is a Meet & Greet?
    A meet & greet is the opportunity for your sitter to get acquainted with you and your pets and go over vital details of caring for your pets while you are away. This is complimentary.
  • Can you administer medications?
    Yes. We can administer oral medications, creams, and ointments. We can also administer shots and IV's. We require you to leave thorough instructions with the medicaitons clearly labeled.
  • Are there any leashes or other equipement you won't work with?
    We ask that clients do not provide retractable leashes as they are unreliable and often get jammed and tangled. If no other leasehes are provided, Lifting K9's will provide an alternate leash.
